Description
The Analytical Services Group has an immediate opening for a Chemist; located in Calgary, Alberta.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES:
Routine analytical testing of internally submitted samples
Sample preparation and disposition
Follows required instrument calibration and maintenance procedures
Maintains the calibration files as a requirement of our ISO 9001 Certification
Liaises with internal customers and Technical Specialists regarding submitted samples and analysis results
Maintains documentation and files for all relevant analytical procedures and results
Identifies ways to improve and recommends changes to internal processes where necessary
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
B.Sc. Chemistry or Chemical Technology Diploma
Superior analytical skills combined with initiative, sound judgment, flexibility, research and decision-making competencies
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Experience with analytical techniques including ICP-OES, GC-MS.
