Position Description:
. Ensure that all QA policies and procedures are followed and changes reported when required.
. Conducts all chemistry testing of finished goods, emulsions, and raw materials.
. Responsible for the inventory and the ordering of lab supplies
. Responsible for the input and analysis of laboratory data
. Prepares samples for third party testing
. Responsible for validation of the smokehouse through the use of data trace.
. Responsible for the vacation coverage.
. Involvement in Six Sigma projects
. Other duties as assigned.
Qualification required:
. Degree or Diploma in a Scientific discipline; preference given to candidates with a Chemistry or Microbiology background.
. Food industry experience an asset.
. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications required.
. Analytical problem solving.
. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
. Willingness to learn, live and teach our Maple Leaf Leadership Values.
. Work effectively in a team or independently
