Positions available:
Opportunities exist on an on-going basis for Adult ESL Instructors. Instructors teach a variety of English as a Second Language courses, including listening and speaking, reading and writing, computer, TOEFL preparation (Test of English as a Foreign Language), business English and accounting basics.
Qualifications:
. TESL Ontario certification required
. knowledge of ESL curriculum and course expectations
. excellent English written and oral communication skills
. strong interpersonal skills
. recent experience in teaching ESL to adult learners
. thorough understanding of Canadian Language Benchmarks
. knowledge of basic computer skills required
. ability to work flexible hours and accept short notice call in to provide coverage for the absence of the regular instructors
Availability:
Classes are scheduled at a number of different sites in Brampton/Mississauga during the week (daytime and evenings) and during the weekends as follows:
September through June
. Monday to Friday (9 to 11:30 am), (12:30 to 3 pm), (4 to 6:30 pm)
. Monday to Wednesday (7 to 9:30 pm)
. Saturday/Sunday (9 am to 2:30 pm)
Summer Session – July & August
. Monday to Friday (8:30 to 11:30 am), (12:30 to 3:30 pm)
. Monday to Wednesday (7 pm. to 9:30 pm
