Job Description: Positions Monday to Friday before and/or after school and Supply staff in School age Centers for the current school year

Nature & Scope:

The Children’s Services branch of the YMCA of Niagara is the leading provider of high quality child care services in the Niagara
Region. As of September 2008, the YMCA operates 53 licensed child care centres,offering care to over 2500 preschool and school age
children across Niagara.

QUALIFICATIONS:
.Early Childhood Education Diploma, child related educational background or experience
.Strong communication skills
.Current standard first aid, CPR certification
.Current criminal reference check

RESPONSIBILITIES:
.Responsible for the care and safety of the children
.Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the weekly program plans, including components required by the curriculum
.Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents,children and fellow team members
.Provide feedback to parents regarding their children
.Responsible for the physical condition of the child care facility
