Purpose
Our Analysts collect, document and interpret financial, business or operational data and performance information. This role will provide detailed and superior reporting trends and analysis to drive and measure service and business effectiveness and overall operational efficiency, in addition to providing support to business leaders and senior management on matters concerning business effectiveness. Our HR Analysts may also consult on technical issues.
Job Accountabilities/Responsibilities
.Collect, document and interpret financial or operational data and performance information
.Designs/changes processes, procedures and other areas for continuous improvement and/or identifies areas for continuous improvement enhancements that will improve service delivery to the client
.IBe heavily nvolved in business process redesign, testing, documentation, implementation and change management for HR and Benefits/Payroll administration teams.
.Serve as a subject matter expert or Payroll/HR Admin representative on projects
.Serve as liaison and subject matter expert for auditors
.Support requests for information and problem resolution that have been escalated as these problems are often complex and highly sensitive
.Provide analysis/explanation of variances and trends in reporting figures for the consideration of senior management
.Formulate and recommend new policies, methodologies and standards to improve the quality of deliverables
.Improve existing procedures/processes for data input, analysis and reporting
.Identify contributing factors/problems/opportunities causing real variances and trends and propose solutions for taking immediate corrective action
Qualifications
Experience
.At least 3 years experience in an HR/Payroll transactional environment
.Previous PS experience in HR, Payroll, Benefit or T&L modules is a definite asset
Required Education
Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, IT, Business Administration or related discipline
Skills and Competencies
.Demonstrated “best in class” work experience in large HR/Payroll environments
.Outstanding knowledge of HR/Payroll systems and processes
.Outstanding PC skills in a variety of computer software such as MS Office, MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, PeopleSoft and Crystal Reporting
.Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and support of the various components of PeopleSoft and best of breed HR applications
.Ability to maintain documents, perform periodic checks, create special reports and maintain audit trails
.Excellence in effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
.Abilty to participate in problem management to foster continuous improvement
.Ablity to work on own initiative, organize and establish priorities within multiple tasks
.Ability to work with team members to develop steps to ensure compliance with emphasis on quality assurance methodologies
