Job Description
The Human Resources Technician, ensures system-data integrity and compliance with SOX legislation. In addition, he/she administers various human-resource programs, including leaves, group insurance, and pension funds for unionized and non-unionized employees.
Summary of tasks
.Manage and update employee files, including recruitment, departures, salaries, maternity leaves, sick leaves, CSST, etc.
.Conduct follow-up regarding personnel’s presence at work, communicate with employees, and file all employee-related documents
.Update performance indicators in employee files
.Update HR databases and ensure data integrity and compliance with SOX legislation (RH Synergie, Sun Life, BrassRing, TMS, First Port)
.Carry out analyses and prepare management reports for management and the executive level (absenteeism rates, etc.)
.Manage the group insurance program, pension funds, and group RSP for unionized and non-unionized employees
.Work closely with Payroll and HR partners
.Provide support to HR Specialist with regard to system maintenance
.Minimum requirements Diploma of Collegiate Studies in administration with specialization in human resources (or equivalency)
.Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a comparable position
.Excellent spoken and written French and English
.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage several priorities at once
.Painstaking attention to detail and rigorous care in administrative tasks
.Strong analytical skills and excellent understanding of HR programs
Advanced Excel skills
.Knowledge of PeopleSoft an asset
.Excellent communications skills and ability to protect confidentiality
