As a key member of the Resources Protection Security team, this position is primarily responsible for performing security, safety and fire/emergency related duties, as well as supervising other Investigators, in order to reduce losses and maintain a safe environment for customers and associates. This includes:
• Providing supervision/leadership to staff reporting, scheduling and assigning work, conducting performance reviews, and coaching/advising on Resource Protection concerns/issues;
• Detecting, apprehending and individuals engaged in security theft and fraudulent activities, including completing investigation and related reports and cooperating with police agencies and the criminal justice system;
• Investigating internal matters (e.g., employee defalcations, operating close-circuit television, using point of sales exception reports, etc.);
• Participating in implementation of associate communication/education programs aimed at increasing theft awareness and preventing loss;
• Monitoring and responding to alarms and other emergency situations; and
• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, by investigating health/safety issues, educating associates, participating in health and safety committee, etc.
The ideal job candidate will have good customer service skills and some experience as a junior Security Investigator. Other qualifications for this job include:
• Good verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of First Aid and CPR
• Good attention to detail
• Basic computer skill (Microsoft Office)
