Ventra Plastics is a supplier of painted plastic parts to the automotive industry. We require a self-motivated individual to champion our Environmental, WSIB Claims Management and Health and Safety Programs. The successful candidate will have knowledge of all applicable provincial Environmental, WSIB and Health and Safety legislation as well as knowledge of designated substances (isocyanates) and applicable legislation. In this Union (CAW) environment you will have experience in interaction with the joint health and safety committee. You will have experience in a factory environment interacting with the MOE, WSIB and the MOL as well but not limited to, forklift safety programs, emergency plans, fall arrest and fire plans.  The successful candidate will be a strong team player and possess interpersonal skills ensuring the ability to train supervisors/employees, motivate and work in the most effective/efficient manner. General knowledge of the TS16949 standards and requirements and excellent computer skills would be considered as an advantage.
